Ok, so I know the name of the stamp set isn’t all that original or inspired. The STAMPS in this set, however ARE! This is one of my all time favorite sets. I originally designed and manufactured it to be a “mini” set. It worked so well in a small size I went ahead and “super sized” it. Here it is:

Six great stamps in this set!

There are six stamps in this set. All of them measure approximately 1 1/2″ in diameter. That’s a great size because it allows you to stamp your image and then use a 1 1/2″ circle punch to punch it out.

Another great feature of these stamps is the space around the inner image.  There is enough space so you can ink up your center, and then wipe the ink of the circle text. Then, simply apply a different colored ink to the text.  This allows you to stamp two (or more) different colors in one impression.  Pretty spiffy!

Also, since these are acrylic stamps, you can always take your handy dandy craft knife and cut around the inner image to remove it. This allows you the ability to interchange the images without having to mask them off every time you want to stamp.  Yes, I know I could have manufactured the stamps with the circles blank and the images outside, but that would have been too easy. Maybe I’ll add that feature on the next manufacturing run….

So, now that you’ve met my stamp set, allow me to share a card I made using the “Friends Forever” stamp:

This is a sweet and simple card that took no time to make but looks like it took awhile.  I like the clean lines of the card with a little whimsy added by the stamp.

Notice the two different colors on the circle stamp – red on the inside and brown on the text.  I added some Ranger Stickles for a little bling, and there you go – a great card that anyone would LOVE to receive!

One more thing to note….you know how we NEVER throw away those little scraps we just can’t bear to part with? We keep the smallest of pieces just knowing we are going to use it “someday”.  Well, “someday” arrived in my house today for that cream colored cardstock piece I just couldn’t toss…all 1 3/4″ of it.  It was the perfect color for my card, and it’s been waiting literally for years to get it’s turn to shine.  Today’s the day! Just trying to keep the hope alive for all those tiny scrap pieces out there – you know you have them, and now you can’t throw them away.

Happy Friday! The weather here is kind of blah and we’re in a winter storm watch like many of you out there. We’re expected to get around six inches of snow tonight and through the weekend. Since many of us are going to be spending the weekend at home, I thought I’d share some fun home decor projects I “whipped” up yesterday. It’s so much fun to make something that looks great for the house, but doesn’t cost a fortune. I love our Elegant Valentine Set, not just because it’s useful for great cards, but because it’s versatile for just about ANY project.

Here are just a few ideas to inspire you to create your own home decor:

Elegant Valentine Stamp set in Home Decor action!

Here is a photo from my dining room mantle. I’ve created a little montage of heart themed items.

I really wanted to do a “hearts in a heart” look here.  I had a spare 8×8 frame so I went ahead and cut out a large heart on my Pazzle, then went to work stamping and filling my big heart with smaller stamped/cut out hearts.  I picked a color scheme that did not scream “VALENTINE” so I can use this all year long.

I tend to collect picture frames when I come across them, and I have a few of these cute little gold circle frames just waiting for me to do something with them.  This fast and simple stamped heart did the trick here.  I used the texture stamps from the stamp set to create the background, then I stamped the swirled heart, cut it out, and added Ranger’s Stickles.  Let dry, and here’s the result.  Again, I can use this any time of year.

Last, but not least, is this sweet little jar I filled with buttons and then made some “flowers” to fill.  Just stamp hearts, cut them out, and use pop dots to adhere them to whatever you have on hand – I had wire and dowels.  I just covered the dowel with a scrap of printed paper, after I used it to curl my wire around.  Tie a ribbon around the jar and that’s it.  A simple but awesome little knick knack.  Use the jar and buttons later, save the flowers for something else.

How simple and cute is this? You can transform any old container into a cute home decor accent in no time!

Here’s another Halloween stamp set we have here at Wildflower Stamps.  I decided to make a card that was cute but with a little boutique feel to it.  It doesn’t scream Halloween at you (ha. there’s a pun!).  This style of card is great for using up any scraps you have on hand.  As you can tell here, the type of patterned paper doesn’t really matter – the cute little girl stamp with her pet frog ties it all together.

I really like the muted feel to the card.  The cream cardstock I used for the stamped image really makes the stamp pop!

I can’t believe we’re less than a week away from Halloween! A week from today I will be putting all the decorations away for another year, and then moving on to the Thanksgiving Decorations. If I were keeping up with the stores, I would just go ahead with Christmas and just skip over Thanksgiving. Sure would save me the time and effort of putting the Thanksgiving stuff out. But then again, it would also deprive me and my family of one of the “slower” holidays of the year. November always goes by too fast, but it’s a great time to enjoy the peace…or the calm before the Christmas storm.

I’ve got a little bit of eye candy for you today. In honor of the almost gone Halloween, here’s a card. I used my new Halloween set – Halloween Trick or Treat. It’s a little bit of a retro nod to Halloweens gone by.
